A professional dog trainer, canine warm water swimming graduate, and certified canine massage practitioner, Cathy Chen-Rennie created The Rex Center to bring the benefits of training and water work—separately and together—to Bay Area dogs in need of safe, nurturing exercise options or just a little work on basic manners. When in the pool Cathy uses her training knowledge to increase each dog’s comfort so he or she gets the full benefits of warm water swimming Cathy graduated from the renowned La Paw Spa canine swimming program and is certified in Canine Therapeutic and Sports Massage by the Rocky Mountain School of Animal Acupressure and Massage. Cathy is also a Reiki Practitioner. She is a member of the International Association of Animal Massage & Bodywork / Association of Canine Water Therapy (IAAMB/ACWT), Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP), and is a dogTEC Certified Dog Walker. |

Susan Rennie, Head Dog Walker / Swim Coach |

Susan brings her years of experience working with both dogs and people to head up The Rex Center's dog walking department. She applies her practical knowledge of dogs and dog behavior to ensure that each dog gets the full benefit of an off-leash dog walk and/or warm-water swim session. Susan is a certfied dogTEC dog walker. She also has graduated from the renowned La Paw Spa canine swimming program. |

Ellen Davison, Canine Swim Coach and Pool Manager |
Ellen loves dogs and loves working in the water with the dogs. She graduated from the renowned La Paw Spa canine swimming program and has taken coursework in canine acupressure and animal hospice. |

Heather Sanders, Canine Massage and Acupressure |
A graduate of the Northwest School of Animal Massage, the Tallgrass Animal Acupressure Institute, and the Companion Animal Sciences Institute, Heather has accumulated over 1000 hours of training in canine massage techniques, anatomy, physiology, nutrition and Traditional Chinese Medicine. She has also studied conformation assessment, food therapy, and herbal medicine.
Heather is a member of the International Association of Animal Massage & Bodywork (IAAMB), the Associated Bodywork and Massage Practitioners (ABMP), and the San Francisco Raw Feeders (SFRAW). She helped develop the national exam for the National Board of Certification for Animal Acupressure & Massage (NBCAAM), and volunteers with several Bay Area rescue groups and shelters. |

Ted graduated from the renowned La Paw Spa canine swimming program. Ted runs his own small dog daycare in San Francisco.

Christine Bradley, Dog Walker |
Christine is a dogTEC certified dog walker and has two dogs of her own that she has lovingly rescued. She plays drums and coaches marching band drum groups in the bay area. | |

Jane Henner, CTC, Dog Trainer / Puppy Socialista |
Teacher Jane Henner spent 18 months as puppy wrangler and 9 months as head trainer working with diverse groups of puppies at a busy puppy daycare. She is a graduate of the prestigious SF SPCA Academy for Dog Trainers, has completed Terry Ryan's Legacy Canine Behavior & Training Chicken Camps for Shaping & Discrimination, Cueing and Criteria, completed an internship at SF SPCA, and has 10 years experience teaching classes. She is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and is continuously updating her education through reading animal training and learning theory literature, attending conferences and seminars, and seeking out new experience. |

Megan Musich, Office Administration / Reception |
Megan runs the office for The Rex Center. She joins us with many years of veterinary hospital administration experience. Megan practices Reiki and is interested in holistic health. She is raising two kids and works with a holistic practitioner as well as The Rex Center. |
