A professional dog trainer, canine warm water swimming graduate, and certified canine massage practitioner, Cathy Chen-Rennie created The Rex Center to bring the benefits of training and water work—separately and together—to Bay Area dogs in need of safe, nurturing exercise options or just a little work on basic manners. When in the pool Cathy uses her training knowledge to increase each dog’s comfort so he or she gets the full benefits of warm water swimming Cathy graduated from the renowned La Paw Spa canine swimming program and is certified in Canine Therapeutic and Sports Massage by the Rocky Mountain School of Animal Acupressure and Massage. Cathy is also a Reiki Practitioner. She is a member of the International Association of Animal Massage & Bodywork (IAAMB), Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP), Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), and is a dogTEC Certified Dog Walker. |

Susan Rennie, Head Dog Walker / Swim Coach |

Susan brings her years of experience working with both dogs and people to head up The Rex Center's dog walking department. She applies her practical knowledge of dogs and dog behavior to ensure that each dog gets the full benefit of an off-leash dog walk and/or warm-water swim session. Susan is a certfied dogTEC dog walker. She also has graduated from the renowned La Paw Spa canine swimming program. | |

Heather Sanders, Canine Massage and Acupressure |
Heather Sanders is a certified Small Animal Massage Practitioner and Small Animal Acupressure Practitioner. She is a graduate of the Northwest School of Animal Massage and the Tallgrass Institute of Animal Acupressure where she acquired over 500 hours of training in canine anatomy, physiology, and bodywork. In addition, she has pursued courses in myofascial release, Tellington TTouch, food therapy, and herbology. Heather is a member of the International Association of Animal Massage & Bodywork (IAAMB) and the San Francisco Raw Feeders (SFRAW) and is an exam reviewer for the National Board of Certification for Animal Acupressure & Massage (NBCAAM). | |

Angie is San Francisco resident who has worked in administration for over four years. She is an avid animal lover who grew up with several different animals in her hometown of El Paso, TX. She is also a filmmaker and enjoys riding her horse in Castro Valley.
