Pre-reqs:

YOU MUST BRING PROOF OF THESE SHOTS to your first visit. Otherwise, for the safety of all puppies, including your own, we cannot let you in.

  1. Proof of second round of DHLPP shots. Our floors are sanitized for your pup’s protection. Just to be safe however, we suggest you carry your puppy from your car into the classroom.

  2. Recommended: Sirius Puppy 1, or other off-leash positive training puppy class enrollment
Cost: $40 for 4-weeks (sequential), or $20 drop-in per puppy at the door

First Timers:
  1. Please RSVP via phone or email prior to your first visit

  2. Please arrive a little early (at least 5-10 minutes) to fill out paperwork.

  3. Please enter through the door closest to the street and wait in the lobby. (We recommend that you carry the puppy inside until s/he's received a 3rd shot or is titered.)

  4. Have your pup wear a well-fitted nylon collar and leash

  5. Do a "wellness" check of your pup and make sure they are free from illness (coughing, diarrhea, discharge from eyes or nose, etc.) -- We cannot allow admittance if your pup is showing any signs of any illness.

  6. Bring soft small treats. The treats should be smaller than a pea for large dogs and smaller than a split pea for small dogs. The treats should be soft because excited puppies often choke on crunchy treats.

Why Is Puppy Social Time So Important?

Puppy socialization is important because it is the key to getting a well-behaved and friendly adult dog. Socialization is the process through which puppies learn what’s safe and good in life and what’s not. Anything you want your dog to calmly accept in adulthood, you must introduce to him/her repeatedly, in a positive way in his/her earliest months. If you miss this critical window of opportunity, normal behavioral development may make your puppy wary, even fearful, of new people, sights, sounds and other dogs.

At our Puppy Socials, your puppy will meet new dogs of many sizes, breeds, and temperaments. She/he will also interact with friendly people equipped with treats and praise. Your puppy will run, play, sniff, wrestle, and be petted many times. This is great for exercise, developing social skills, and learning to like people and other dogs.
