acupressure
A 3,000-year-old system rooted in the same principles as acupuncture, acupressure is a completely safe, non-invasive form of bodywork that uses the application of finger pressure instead of needles. The practitioner applies light pressure at acupoints along your dog’s body to access energy (chi) along pathways called meridians. The goal is to balance the energy of the body, alleviating and/or preventing acute or chronic conditions that manifest as a result of imbalances in this energy flow
- Ease chronic pain from arthritis or degenerative conditions
- Alleviate indigestion, diarrhea, and other gastrointestinal problems
- Resolve itching, rashes, skin allergies, and hot spots
- Reduce acute pain, swelling, and inflammation
- Expedite surgical recovery
- Strengthen the immune system Animals tend to find acupressure to be soothing and generally emerge from a session in a relaxed state.
A 60-minute holistic consultation is conducted as your first acupressure session. Follow-up sessions are 30 minutes. Improvement or resolution of issues can generally be observed in two to six sessions. Cost: $125 (initial); $45 (follow-up)
