health & sanitation
Happy, Healthy Puppies
Your puppy’s health and safety is our top priority. We observe the latest sanitation protocols and safety codes for canine facilities.
- Epoxy concrete floor base with a paw-friendly Comfort King anti-slip covering.
- Daily cleaning of floors, mats, and lower walls with Clorox greenworks cleaner, which is environmentally friendly and completely safe for puppies.
- Weekly cleaning of floors, mats, and lower walls with Trifectant—the ultimate broad spectrum disinfectant, proven to kill 99% of viral, bacterial, and fungal pathogens.
- Rubber-only toys, sanitized daily.
- Transportation to and from our facility in Saturn Vue SUV (a Top Safety Pick of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety), inside crates secured to the vehicle floor.
- Your puppy must have 2 sets of DHLPP vaccinations plus his Bordatella shot to enroll in day care.
In Case Of Illness
As with children in kindergarten, puppies can relatively easily pick up common bugs like doggie colds and kennel cough. We do everything possible to limit exposure to and spread of illness, but should your pup show signs (coughing, sneezing, nasal discharge, crusty eyes, vomiting, or diarrhea), we follow these procedures:
| At pick-up time: | If we come to your house and find your pup unwell, we will potty and clean him as best we can, then call you to let you know the symptoms and that your puppy is staying home. |
| At our facility: | We make your puppy comfortable in a crate away from the other pups, then call you. If you are unable to pick up right away, we have on-call assistants who can drive your puppy to your home separately. |
- We notify all puppy parents of cases of illness, so they can look out for any symptoms.
- In the event of an emergency (extreme lethargy, seizures, etc.), we take your puppy to the vet.
